Workshops and Walks

Herbal workshops are an educating and entertaining way to spend a morning or an afternoon. If you are interested in inviting me to host your own group or if you would like to attend as a private group, please get in touch. Tel: 087 7531023

Book your own Herb Walk and/or Workshop, personally tailored to your individual requirements.

Herb Walk: A Herb walk in the spectacular Burren or other specified location.

Tailored to your requirements: whether your group is 2 people or 20 people, children, young people or people with specific physical limitations. Specific content can also be requested. For example, more focus on traditional folklore/plant ID/wild food foraging/medicine making process. A meditative, reflective walk can also be requested. This is a quieter kind of walk where we connect into the very essence of the Burren and engage in a sensory experience of plant connection. Highly recommended.

Cost: from 175e.

Duration: 2 hours

Deposit of 50e required. If the weather is bad, I will accommodate the group as much as possible by adjusting time or by bringing the Herb walk indoors.

Herb foraging Walk/Workshop: This event takes place on the countryside roads of Moy, which lean into the Wild Atlantic Way. After foraging the hedgerows for medicinal and edible herbs, we then venture indoors to get stuck into the Art and Craft of Medicine making.

It is possible to choose a topic of interest or to enjoy an all-round experience. Topics of interest can include the following:

Immune Health, Lung Health, Digestion, Nervous system relaxation, Muscles and Joints, Skin, Hormones, Liver detoxification, Urinary health.

If you have another interest, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.

Herbal Exploration Workshop

Coming in 2022

Using our senses to explore a plant helps us to embody the information, so that we experience and remember. And from there, we can start to harness our intuitive nature and build our own connections with the plants.
There will be 6 potted medicinal herbs for each person to take home and plant straight away, so that you can continue to observe them grow and harvest their medicine in the coming years. The 6 herbs are in the photos:

Teasel, Vervain, Skullcap, Elecampane, Mullein and Purple Sage.
Elecampane and Mullein are 2 of the best lung tonics in my opinion. Vervain and Skullcap are great for calming and strengthening the nervous system. Teasel is good for fatigue, muscle and joint aches and Sage is a bit of an all-rounder, often used for colds, flu, building immunity and digestion.

We will also explore some of the more common hedgerow plants and the day will include an outdoor forage.

Investment: 100e. Includes lunch, snacks, materials and 6 medicinal potted herbs to take home. Booking Essential.
