 Herb Walk in the Burren.


When: Saturday July 21st 2018

Where: Cassidys pub: 11am to 12.30am.

Cost: 15e. Group rates available.

The Burren hedgerows are full of plants and flowers that have been used to make medicine since ancient times. Lisa Guinan is an experienced Irish Herbalist who can walk you down the  country lanes and open your senses to the world of plant medicine that mostly go unnoticed by the untrained eye. Identification, traditional folklore and modern uses will be covered. Please bring along a camera if you would like a photographic record and also some writing material to take notes. Children are welcome to come along for free.

A Herb walk is the best way of becoming familiar with local wild medicinal plants. Under the expert guidance of an experienced Herbalist, we will take a gentle walk through the magic lands of the Burren, stopping along the way to meet the wild herbs. We will cover old traditional cures and folklore as well as modern medicinal uses.Please bring along a camera if you would like a photographic record and also some writing material to take notes.  Children are welcome to come along for free.
